# Start With the Basics

## Step 1: Complete the Tutorial

The tutorial teaches you the basic controls, combat mechanics, and base-building systems.

**Don't skip it.**

Completing the tutorial provides useful early rewards, including:

- Free resources
- Heroes
- Access to essential game features

It only takes around **10–15 minutes** and gives you the foundation you need before moving on.

## Step 2: Focus on Main Quests

Your **Main Quest** appears on the left side of your screen and should be your primary roadmap during the beginning of the game.

Following the Main Quest helps unlock:

- New buildings
- Heroes
- Game modes
- Additional features

It's easy to get distracted by exploration and other activities, but those can wait.

**Beginner Tip:** Focus on your Main Quest until you've established a solid base and understand the game's main systems.
